That could be. It's just that I can't fit the British and/or Irish people in any American regions, from the Appalachians to California to the Midwest to South Boston, so it's like the British Isles has its own vibe that sets it apart from us. My guess is that there might be a similar thing in Australia. Maybe they just kicked our special breed out of the four countries.

Yes Australians will have that mixture also. There won't be Australians that have just one origin unless they just came as recent migrants.
There are a few wellknown Australians that are just of Irish descent. Footballer Dermot Brereton and surfing champion Mick Fanning (you know the one who hit the shark). Oddly though they both look like the stereotypical Aussie.

My family is from the Irish Midlands and I never noticed much different phenotypically about the people there from most Irish (or at least those from Leinster, many Western Irish do seem a bit different), but perhaps I wasn't looking hard enough.
I'm going to post some people from Offaly.
Spoiler!

Just posting Dermot Brereton and Mick Fanning whose parents are Irish.
Mick Fanning
Dermott Brereton
You couldn't get more stereotypical Australian looking than these two.
