I would argue that Amerindians are native to where they currently are because they have undergone a genetic bottleneck which made them genetically very distant from East Asians.

Eurasians and Africans who settled after Columbus' discovery in 1492 did not have enough time to undergo a genetic drift.

Latino people from the genetic point are much more native in USA than white and black Americans, because they carry significant native American DNA. Difference between large part of Mexicans and native Americans genetically is probably like between African Americans and Nigerians. Ancestors of Astezs came to central Mexico from present day southwestern USA.
On the other hand USA was created by white people, it is not everything in genetic.

I am not a huge fan of Laredo, but still: (1) This notion that the southwestern United States being captured from Mexico has been a good thing is actually highly amoral if not immoral, the classic "ends justify the means" trope. (2) While the Mexican and South American drug cartels are indeed a menace, most of the demand for said drugs comes from the United States and other Western nations. Absent said demand and they'd be much less of a problem. (3) It is estimated that around one million Americans live in Mexico. While that is certainly a lot smaller than the number of Mexicans in the US, they are hardly unicorns either, so it shows that Mexico isn't necessarily that bad a place to live itself. (4) To add to point (3), this also corroborates a regular point of mine that movements between the West and Global South are not as one-sided as is commonly thought. Moreover, while in absolute numbers the Mexican diaspora is the biggest diaspora of all Latin American nations, when looked at per capita it is not as high as some others. In any event, even some developed nations have pretty big diasporas too - it is estimated that 5-6 million British people live abroad, in addition to the many millions more of wholly or partially British ancestry in different places.
