Meglo-Romanians were the unique group that did adopt Vlach as an in-group ethnic denominator (Vlashi) early on, probably because unlike Aromanians who could live in their ethnic bubbles as highlanders, Megleno-Romanians were in the plains, and intermingled more with the majority population of the land, in their case Slavs.

Yes! I saw it to, must say a was a litle bit chocked that it was that high, because if you look in banat i2a and E-V13 are the highest, and I thought that it wpuld look about the same in eastern serbia, but the vlach there have J2 as the biggest HG, very interesting, do you have any idé many why J2 is the biggest at the moment

Yes Timok Vlachs are what I would consider more a part of Romanian proper, or at least recent offshoots, while Aromanians and Megleno-Romanians are more distant as they are more blended with Greeks and Albanians and such and further away. But even they I believe at one point, further in the past, were probably somewhat closer to proto-Romanians and sort of went off in different directions. Eastern Romance languages are way too close and have too many "coincidental" similarities. But it's been at least a thousand years.

Much of the central Balkans at one point was probably proto-Romanian speaking before becoming Slavicized.

Megleno-Romanian interestingly as a language is closer to Romanian than Aromanian is, so it split off the trunk a bit later, so to speak.

Then there are Istro-Romanians who I read were probably actually 15th century migrants from Transylvania to Istria, and then they mixed with the local Croats. So they've sort of become their own thing.

I think Serbia has both Aromanians in the south as well as actual Romanians further north.

    Central-Northern Transylvania

Not lighter by any means compared to those in Southern Romania, just with a lot more Alpinids.

Even though you can find faces like her in Romania quite easily, I've never seen anyone looking like me. I'm very mixed, but there is a foreign element in me that is sometimes dominant and that element doesn't exist in Romanians...
