I will only exclude Dobrudja, because Romanians there are generally descendants of recent immigrants (mostly from Transylvania) that came after the region was annexed in late 1800s.
Dude, don't waste your time. Post undergraduate students, not high schoolers. Romanian male high schoolers are very neotenous looking. And don't forget to look for large resolution photos. What you posted so far is too small, the faces are tiny, there isn't much detail to see there.

Post students from Dobrudja as well. Half of the Romanians there have old roots in the region (more so in Tulcea than Constanta). Btw, most Romanians who moved there in the past 150 years were from the surrounding counties, like Braila, Galati etc, not from Transylvania.

For instance, these are students from Constanta - they are very average Romanian looking (maybe even average southern European looking):

    Crisana Region

Interesting that there are no geographic barriers between Arad and Bihor counties, but phenotypes become drastically lighter and more Slavic in Bihor county then return back to Romanian average in Satu Mare and Maramures counties. I don't have an explanation for that phenomena...

Among local Romanians, Alpinid phenotype is in clear majority.

    Maramures Region

This is a fringe region that has very peculiar phenotypes, most people being unmixed Alpinids with occasional Slavic and Pontid influences.

But I feel younger generations here in the west are getting taller. I dont feel tall at all amongst younger males.

Are you taller than your parents ?
My parents have shrunk a little because of age but at their tallest my dad was 5'10 and my mom is 5'9. I was measured at 6'1 in high school but I'm more like 6 ft these days due to years of bad posture.
