This is unfortunatelly true. I think many woman has no self-respect, its also connecting to prostitution topic. But dont say that i dont feel empathy with rape victims, its not true. Of course it has many reason, for example your relations with your parents, friends. If nobody support you its much harder. Or i can mention the shame. You feel a very deep shame and i think this one is connecting to the self-respect and confidence.
In the high school, i had a female friend who was ashamed of her breasts, because it was big. She always weared a loose sweater to hide them. She was afraid of attention from guys, or her dad's reaction if someone see her breasts. She felt ashamed of her cupsize. Girls grow up like the beauty commercials are destroying their confidence and self-respect, for example your ugly if you dont wear our make-up or clothes etc. Tons of woman are like this, especially the youngers.

Well in quite a few countries men that pay for prostitution are arrested. It's hardly a "holier than thou" attitude not agreeing with prostitution. It's not exactly socially acceptable among most circles. Most people will never tell you if they visit prostitutes because they don't want people to know. It would be a scandal for a politician for example and most people would judge someone who visits prostitutes.

Society also judges women that willingly decide to work in legal Prostitution, another reason why many women that do that willingly would be reluctant to admit it.
The funny thing is in America it had sort of become culturally acceptable for people to go to Stripshows, male and females, this has been depicted in movies and also celebs of both genders going to a Stripshow where there is alcohol strippers and music. Quite interesting for that to become somewhat accepted when there are many places where Stripshows and Prostitution services are under the same roof even if that part of it is generally discreet.
