Default Are northern Italian people finer featured than the southern French?

people like to make out that Northern Italy is basically like southern France anthropologically but i would say that the southern French have slightly heavier facial builds than the north Italians, if the basic type of northern Italy is a dinaro alpine i would say that in southern France it is more likely to be a predominant alpine, alpine-CM or a blend of med/alpine and noric or subnordic.

Oh, you might be making a good point. Southern France as a whole has a fairly good Mediterranean foundation (whether Atlanto-Mediterranean or Gracile Mediterranean) with a very good tinge or admixture of the West Alpinid type. Thus feature - wise might also somewhat heavier - featured. While Northern Italy being predominantly Dinarid in race with Mediterranean or Alpine admixtures will be more gracile.
