What is your wasted talent?

I used to be good at sports when younger. Could score from corner point in football/soccer, was OKish in basketball, really good at table tennis, biking, can hold my breath really long, swam fast. (Wasn't a very fast runner though)

Anyhow , I quit sports to read books and get university education, and ended up being socially a lower-than-average person, had covid, had the vaccine (all doses, neat and square), I now feed myself burgers and watch TV, and drink soda pops to spend time. Feels like success up to certain point. It's all relative imho.

What about you? Do you feel like at some point you chose the wrong path in your career? Do share if you feel like it. If not, then no problem.

Music, painting, divination, martial arts, photography, poetry, literature, criminology, cinema, really almost everything I propose to do, I can do very well, but I like to experiment and get to know them more than to devote myself fully to them.

I was very good at history, and at school, my friends would usually ask things about history. I was also very good at English. My friends at high school used to ask me to help them with their exercises.

I played tenis very well, but i did not want to be a professional player.

Most likely Car Seller as i read so much about cars as a kid. Psychoanalyst or Psychotherapist, that would have been my career choice if i could re-choose it as it combines my will to help and deep analyze of problems.

I was not talented at any kind of sports to become a pro, i was a good Sprinter and i m physically strong, but nothing special really either.

Due to my height, people around me always encouraged me to play basketball. I was actually going to selections when I was a kid, but my father said it wasn't good, and he discouraged me, and I still resent it today.

Our PE teacher at high school asked me if I was interested in playing with the school team, but at that time I had no interest in playing basketball. Later, when I was around 17 years old, I started to play basketball with my friends for every PE class. I became seriously interested in basketball, but it was too late; it was just a hobby.

My biggest strength always was debate and writing and my job fits perfectly to that. I could have been a professional horse jockey though, I had real talent. But it is not a waste since being a lawyer beats being a horse rider.

yeah, i kinda startet too late with team sports as well. i was good at Basketball but not really good enough for the pros- Austrian Basketball sucks and does not pay anyway. All my friends who wanted to become professional footballer players failed, they just played in regional leagues, 2. Division at best, i guess i could have managed that as well if i would have played since a small kid, but i did not miss anything in not doing so.
