Depends where in the world. Not all of the world is as densely populated as South Asia, NE Asia minus Mongolia or Europe minus Russia and Scandinavia.

Which means (and thanks for your remark), that he's probably talking about an underpopulation that concerns the white race solely. Because, for me , who think in terms of a human race, not necessarily in a political way, the problem is the opposite (overpopulation).

Musk is worried the world population is going to be replaced by idiots with 60 IQ, not that it would simply decrease. It's valid because he needs engineers but more importantly a humanity capable of projecting itself into the colonization of other worlds, with Space X (his real purpose, the rest of his business is to finance it). Less intelligent people will always be more prone to archaic beliefs and petty concerns than making humanity a planetary civilization.

Billionaire Elon Musk often tweets about "population collapse due to low birth rates is a much bigger risk to civilization than global warming." This time, he shared a retweet that highlighted the ongoing occurrence of a population crisis.

The post highlighted that the United States and Japan have witnessed a decrease in populations, while China, Singapore, the UK and South Korea have seen a significant drop in fertility rates. The post said that population collapse is one of the most substantial threats to civilization.

    Exactly.

If the humans were studied totally unbiased like bacteria on a petri dish this all would be even more obvious. The life (existence) and its development as growing or shrinking is the only relevant aspect. If a bacterium likes or dislikes its life, if it's laborious to the bacterium or not, is completely irrelevant.

    Spoiler!

Musk isn't woke in the slightest but he can't just go on tweeter and say "Whites + Eurasian should increase their rates and African along everything else should decrease it". He can say a lot of things, but there is a limit...The fact he retweeted this particular post exactly shows what is his real concern however.

I have less grandiloquent "plans" for humanity but i can understand we wants to see his life work coming to fruitation in his time span. A dose of megalomania is understandable in this case.

Isn't there something a little dissonant about your dreams of humans as a whole colonising other planets (except maybe Mars, what other planets are habitable for us anyway?) yet object so much to humans migrating from one part of Earth to another? (More specifically, non-Europeans who migrate to Europe).

I'm not sure it's the case, Musk often says dumb things. I've seen a video of him saying people should work in factories and produce enough energy to supply entire countries. He even went on to calculate the surface of said factory. See, that's the problems with a minority of high IQ people, they think they can be everything. They should stick to their respective fields. For him, now, it's sales, not even engineering.

There s nobody on other planets. No relation between immigration and investing new worlds. You can keep searching.

It's not particularly my dreams anyway, it should just be in the natural order for humans to do it. Musk think we are at risk of facing extinction by a cosmological event since we are only spread on one planet. I ve observed his interviews and this seems to be his greatest fear.

If you think humans can colonise entire planets (although the evidence thus far is that most if not all aren't really inhabitable anyway), then why is the idea of humans moving from one part of Earth to another so abominable? (Within reason, at least).
