Rich deserters are not touched and will never be touched, only those who spent last money or had to collect these money from all neighbors just to bribe the police and border control. Most of those who condemn deserters on TV have their kids hidden in EU, whole Ukrainian politicum.

As for those who fled, there was always significant part of Ukrainian citizens who would never find it worth to die for Ukraine, even without being pro Russian. None of my male relatives is conscripted, few fled, some have false diagnosis bought to avoid being conscripted.

There are lots of Ukrainian citizens who don't care much under which flag they wanna wake up tomorrow. Average Ukrainian is an opportunist. I have such between not pro Russian relatives.

Almost 50% of their youth now says they have to negotiate with Russia, it was like 18% one year ago. And the most stubborn, pro war part of populace are Sovetoid boomers watching the so called "telemarathones" where they're "almost winning" every day, just like they watched Soviet TV back in USSR.
