There have been studies about this

The fourth approach focuses on the role of intelligence on music fruition and
music preference. Previous research has shown that intelligence has a critical
influence in music preference. Rentfrow and Gosling (2003) showed that more
intelligent individuals preferred “reflective, complex, and intense” genres of
music (which included classical, jazz, blues, and folk). According to George,
Stickle, Rachid, and Wopnford (2007), preference for rebellious music is associated to a marginally lower IQ. Those who prefer classical music were found to
be more educated and more intelligent, a result that was confirmed also by
Kanazawa and Perina (2012).

I never encountered anyone who was only into rap, blasting it all day, learning the lyrics, talking like it etc.. while looking like he/she had a 3 digits IQ. And im talking about whites here too. Art comes from nature, not the other way around.

Eminem who started to rap randomly became easily the best selling rap artist of all time, just with funny lyrics for a change. It's inherently a very low IQ genre otherwise. Other types of pseudo rebellious music likely attracts the same bottom ends of other races too.
