Why are Black people not into Rock or general pop music?

Many of the pioneers of rock music were black.

However, it is true that far fewer black musicians delve into metal (with some exceptions).

My guess is that pop and R&B are smooth, lullaby-like songs, and so they have universal reach. Rap too seems to be universally understood. It's just aggressive lyrics delivered on a rhythm.

Metal on the other hand is horse rider/raider music on a gallop rhythm. Not everyone seems to be in-tune with that. R or Q haplos is required

Metal is definitely popular in Brazil, not so much in the rest of Latin America. It would be interesting to understand why.

Mostly in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, among white population again.

Many Black people like pop music because it encompasses all kinds of genres, and that includes rap and urban. Some Black Guy (as opposed to some Black guy) has a YouTube channel, and he plays in a heavy metal band, and I get that he's about as rare as a female Chinese country singer. Chuck Berry likely was the first artist to bring the genre into the mainstream, although people still debate about what the *first* rock and roll song was ("Rocket 88" by Ike Turner's band often is mentioned). My guess is that Black people were more into it before those four crackers from England changed the genre into a better form of itself.

Ennio is the best. If "Morricone" was its own genre, it would be in my Top Four.
