I have noticed that some Roma/Gypsies tend to want to associate all local European semi-nomadic groups with their specific group, as if other peoples without Indian origin could not practice semi-nomadism for different reasons (marginalization, self-marginalization, personal desire), etc.

I know flashball personally. He is a Native Northern French and still live in the same area where his father's blood line lived for centuries.
