An interesting map looking at where ethnic groups live in London and which neighbourhoods are the most deprived. White Britons, North Americans, South Africans and NE Asians tend to live in the least deprived neighbourhoods; Bangladeshis, Black Africans, Black Caribbeans, some Eastern Europeans and more minor ethnic groups (in London's context) like Portuguese, Vietnamese, Latin Americans, Turks and North Africans tend to live in the most deprived neighbourhoods; Indians, Jews, some Europeans, Aussies/Kiwis and (most surprisingly) Pakistanis are spread across the spectrum.

As far as I know Turks are “White” in the UK and the US and they are “non-White” in the rest of the Europe.

Well it depends on self-classification. Some would say "White Other", others would say "Other ethnic group" in the UK.

Important side note: The majority of Turks in the UK are Turkish Cypriots. Cypriots are usually considered white, despite the fact that the island is located in West Asia and they have West Asian genetics.

During the Census, people could write in their specific ethnic group in addition to the metagroups that you could already tick, so in this study you can see what percentage of each neighbourhood is Turkish.

What do you think about Mingle's map? Is it accurate?

I am surprised that Jews don't have their own category despite the fact that they have been around much longer than Pakistanis.
