Lol that’s a really good question. It’d make more sense if her music transformed over the years, but it’s been the same for almost 2 decades now. Women in their 30’s are still singing along to tracks about failed relationships as if they were teenagers.

TSwift and Beyonce are the same to me. However, Beyoncé has certainly changed her style up here and there, so I will give her that.

It's not for me. I don't listen to much music but if I do it's EDM, hip hop, etc.

I heard her songs a lot of times when I had a good time, thats why I like her, not neccesarily because of her lyrics or outstanding musical talent. We could say more or less unanimously that she is also attractive.

Her producers were the first almost 10 years ago to create tracks with sonic data analysis to appeal to mass music preferences. It could explain the commercial success, it's essentially a mashup of everything succesfull in billboards, and they probably got really good at this by now. In this way it's kind of fascinating as it's some sort of AI already composing or at least influencing sonically the music. I remember stumbling upon a few titles randomly on her more or less recent albums that were "interesting" musically knowing this.

The industry's aim now is to combine this deeper understanding of its customers with the deeper understanding of the music itself, which Big Data has also made possible. Raw music is essentially unstructured data but because it is easily digitized, it can be quantified and analyzed. Since 1999, the Musical Genome Project has been structuring music data by manual classification as well as automated algorithms. Up to 450 data points are collected on every song in its database - currently around 30 million. These include factors such as the gender of the vocalist, the instruments in use, the speed of the rhythm and the style of backing vocals. Each track is studied by a specially trained musicians, much the same way as Netflix employs people to watch films and classify their content. By structuring the unstructured data of raw music, tracks can be compared with each other and judgements made, algorithmically, about what a user might want to listen to next. The Music Genome Project was developed by Pandora Media, and it powers their Pandora streaming music service

No, because I'm not familiar with her music, except for "Shake It Off", which I heard a little bit of on television. I do think she is very pretty and maybe that is why her music is popular.
    Spoiler!

I think that Taylor Swift is heavily favoured and promoted by the media for reasons beyond talent.
They can make anyone rich and successful, just like Jay Z or P Diddy.

She has all the right political connections,
she is a Democrat activist who can activate the all-important single white female demographic.

Watch, eventually she will start campaigning against Trump or go into politics!

I think her music is alright/ok. I like some songs, but not others. I thought a few of her oldest songs were the best.
    =(^.^)=

Also I don't do classifications currently, sorry.

I don't listen to the radio nor have random pop spotify playlists so if I have heard her sing anything, nothing has been memorable enough to retain a memory of.
Nine out of ten concerns are completely unfounded.
