Fascism isn't evil. Mussolini just supported Germany because he was very confident they'd win and thought the war would end soon, so might as well rake in from the spoils. He split from the Italian Socialist Party cause he was anti-war (which was the mainstream view among non-Italian Socialists), and just bent his stance later for that reason. And his support for Germany was specific to him and not related to Fascist ideology. Same goes for his imperialistic ambitions.

You got it wrong. He left the Italian Socialists because he was pro-war and nationalist and the Socialists(Italian and non-Italian) were anti-war. He was an imperialist from long before he joined the war. He only hesitated in joining the war with Germany, because he wasn't sure Germany could win. Was convinced because of his personal and close relationship or friendship with Hitler.

Only after Hitler helped him, they together ocupied both Yugoslavia and Greece.

It is interesting he planned to settle Italians among the Albanians, who saw as their own kin.
