Spazio vitale (Italian: [ˈspattsjo viˈtaːle], "living space") was the territorial expansionist concept of Italian Fascism. It was defined in universal terms as "that part of the globe over which extends either the vital requirements or expansionary impetus of a state with strong unitary organization which seeks to satisfy its needs by expanding beyond its national boundaries".[1]: 47  Spazio vitale was analogous to Nazi Germany's concept of Lebensraum.[1]: 46
The territorial extent of the Italian spazio vitale was to cover the Mediterranean as a whole (Mare *******) and Northern Africa from the Atlantic Ocean to the Indian Ocean.[1]: 47  It was to be divided into piccolo spazio ("small space"), which was to be inhabited only by Italians, and grande spazio ("large space") inhabited by other nations to be under the Italian sphere of influence.[1]: 48  The nations in the grande spazio would be subjected to Italian rule and protection, but were to keep their own languages and cultures.[1]: 46  Fascist ideologist Giuseppe Bottai likened this historic mission to the deeds of the ancient Romans, stating that the new Italians will "illuminate the world with their art, educate it with their knowledge, and give robust structure to their new territories with their administrative technique and ability".[1]: 46  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spazio_vitale

Anyway Mingle is right that Italian Fascists were less bad than German Nazis. At least they had no plans to exterminate any peoples and initially there were even Jewish Fascist Party members, so I guess they were more tolerant initially. But later Mussolini came under Hitler's influence more and more and first adopted Nazi racial laws in the late 30s expelling Jewish party members and taking away civil rights from Jews, then during the Republic of Salo days fully collaborated with Nazis in deporting Italian Jews to Nazi extermination camps. It was all because he became a very close friend of Hitler and was hypnotized or something by Adolf.

Without foreign support, there wouldn't even be a united and independent Italy. Without Solferino (1859), Sadowa (1866), and Sedan (1870), the Kingdom of Italy would hardly have been born. Solferino, won by the French, gave Italy Lombardy and central Italy, Sadowa, won by the Germans against Austria, gave her Veneto, Sedan, won by the Germans against Napoleon III, paved the way to Rome. Not to mention the rather inelegant switching of sides in the First World War, or that time we were defeated by the Ethiopians in 1896, or the shameful invasion of Greece (and also Albania), etc.

    It is so stupid.
I mean - invading peaceful Greece without any reason, assisting Albanians to take surrounding lands from Serbs, N.Macedonians, Greeks.
In the end, only Croats benefited from this stupidity, and took from Italy Istria, Fiume and Zara, although they didnt deserve them at all.

Generally in eastern europe mainly but also in some other parts of the world the Focus on Gypsy discrimination is more their skin color and dark skinned blood from untouchables then in the anglosphere where they are deemed as travellers and kings of con hardly someone of the gypsies in eastern europe travells maybe gypsies in eastern europe are also darker then American gypsies eventhough American gypsies are immigrants in waves from alot of european countries including also many eastern european countries but the view or Focus is a bit different

Fiume and Zara were always Croatian, before Italian occupation after WW1, so please dont twist the facts, I am 1/4 italian and love Italy, but that doesnt mean I have to read somethin like this and not react.

Italian occupation of Fiume and Zara after 1918 is occupation nevermind it happened after WW1.

With that way of thinking, and to go deep into history, entire Serbia should go to Turks and before that to Italians (Roman Empire), and you know very well how stupid this sounds.

Some minority of Italians base their claims because of Roman Empire, which is hilarious, 70% of Europe would go to Italy.

Going with that kind of thinking, Greeks should ask everything from Greece to India because or Alexander Hellenic Empire.

Or lets go even further into History and revive dinosaurus and leave this entire planet to them.

These were internationaly recognized parts of Italy according to Treaty of Versailles that brought peace for Europe, and most likely would remain parts of Italy, if Italy didnt take its expansionist adventure and attacked Greece and Yugoslavia
