It was a 71-year-old Slovak who committed the crime. That's all that's known so far. If we want to get into conspiracy theories, there is another theory that this attack may be related to the murder in 2018 of journalist Ján Kuciak and his girlfriend at the behest of Robert Fico or his henchmen, due to the fact that this journalist had carried out investigations and published allegations of corruption against Robert Fico and prominent figures in his government. At first glance, for outsiders or those unfamiliar with the Slovak political scene, it might seem that this is related to the fact that he is close to Moscow, but in reality Robert Fico has been a controversial figure in Slovakia for years for various reasons that are not necessarily related to this issue, so the motivations could be any one of several. I hope that he recovers.

Quite possibly. I wouldn't be surprised at all. I also wonder if Ukraine is behind the planning of this. Either Ukraine, or Western agencies, or both.

Fico took a stand for the wellbeing of his own people on his own land.
But that bothers the USA, who dont like independent leaders.
Hence this result. Their classic tactic.

Ukrainians were celebrating and joking about this assassination, now pity that Fico survived, all Ukrainian news groups are full of their comments. Yea, they also mention that same should be done to all "Russian agents", from Orban to.. Trump. Already heard from Psaki that "Trump may die".
