They claim that a baby was born in Pennsylvania while his mom was in England, and they claim that a baby's mom was 6 when she gave birth to him (I did not mean to type "16")! Does anyone else encounter nuttiness like this when they try to trace their genealogy? I'm starting to doubt that I descend from kings.

Any percentage could show up in phenotype. We use to believe only a few protein coding genes were important and the rest was "junk" but turns out it's not the case. Even a few percents could influence a huge amount of genes in the end. Then it's a lottery, where small amounts can sometimes beat the odds.
