Here's a shower thought, that has been thought of by other people before.
An argument as for the insular celts of Britannic isles actually being decendants of the upper class Egyptians.
The peoples of Britain are obviously an ancient peoples, more ancient than just what we might call "celtic". I'm of the belief that the word celtic just got printed on them due to language and not genetics. The central European celts were celtic speaking tribes of Gaul and continental Europe who the Roman's called the keltoí or celtae.
So by regular school of thought, there were celts(migrating westward) who we don't know, either replaced the original insular inhabitants with their blood and language, but from what I've gathered it seems to be more of just an "elite" language hierarchy kind of deal, with no huge population change from the bronze age. It is said that Ireland got celticised in 500bc. As for the rest of the isles I don't remember off the top of my head.
Now on to red hair. The Irish are especially seen as "celtic", but we could argue that the English could be just as much, with just some lucky ones having germanic(anglo-saxon) ancestry, celtic as the Irish, if we look overall.
Now both the Irish and the English, and Scottish are known for their red hair. Me being one of them, of English decent.
Another group that is also know for red hair, are the jews.
Now what science tells is that red hair is caused by a mutation, and I believe if that to be the cause, it would be due to living on the fringe in small, genetically homogeneous settlements.
Now whatever you want to call that, be my guest.
Red hair is especially common in the west of Ireland, a historic geographically closed off location, with not a whole ton of new genes arriving(historically).
The jews themselves(tho they mixed with others) also had tight cultural circles of small individuals. Perfect for mutations for arrive.
Now all this could be true, red hair arising from mutations, but I have another more(mysterious) hypothesis.
If we look at the modern "scientific" analysis of the genetic make up of the insular celts, they say that they came from annatolian farmers, if I remember right.
What if the Britannic celts are actually the decendants of the ancient Egyptian elite who fled Egypt, that would explain the megalithic culture in the British isles, and the red hair. Now I know bog bodies hair color, is not to be trusted, as the acid in the bog oxidized the hair to a reddish tint. But the Egyptian mummies also had red hair, with no acid in contact to boot.
Back to the joows, they can have red hair, and who used to live in Egypt? The jews. The jews might have picked up the red hair from the Egyptians, when they resided in Egypt historically.
This would explain how both the British people and the jews have red hair, stemming from the fair Egyptian elite.
The megalithic cultures in Britain also make you think about the ancient Egyptians.
What if the Britain's neolithic elite were just Egyptian elites who migrated there. Could explain the megalithic building tendency and red hair. Later in 500bc they gained their "celtic" identity, or might have lost their culture before hand to the Semitic "Sea peoples" of the bronze age collapse.
Again I'm no historian and claim none of this to be true, unless I see proof, it's just fun to conjure thoughts in the mind together.
I just had to get it out.
Again maybe I'm crazy, but maybe I'm not, since it's just pondering and no actual truth.
Or maybe it's just wishful thinking, wanting to be Egyptian royalty
