Ultimately if this idea gains steam it'll be decided by Americans and Englishmen. No power on earth can stop it if the two parties decide to unite.

Among the countries that won't like this idea:

- China

- France

- Iran

- North Korea

- Basically every asshole country on earth.

Strange question. Anyone familiar with the history and demographics of Hawaii will get the meaning of my comment immediately. It is very unlike the other 49 states and most of the population has less in common culturally (not to mention racially) with Americans on the Mainland than an Englishman.

But Hawaii didn't join the USA because they were a great power uniting forces with the american, rather some sort of colony like Samoa or Guam.

There's no way England will ever merge with the USA, that's like a son adopting his father.
