Bjork's ethnicity may or may not be questionable, but according to This, born and raised in Reykjavik Iceland.

Sorry, she is Faroese only She is just really popular in Iceland which make people think she is also Icelandic...

Ahh thanks for the info, I've only seen her here on Icelandic Tv and she was living in Reykjavík at that time plus she speaks Icelandic fluently (which is of course not uncommon for faroese people) and performs regulary in churches and at folk-gatherings here in Iceland.. so I asumed she was 50% Icelandic at least.

Yes she seems to be more popular in Iceland than in the Faroe Islands...not surprising given the language and culture similarities

Björk Guðmundsdóttir is Icelandic, born and raised in Iceland with both parents Icelandic. Her father Guðmundur Gunnarsson is a well known politician in Iceland and her mother Hildur Hauksdóttir is a well known environmental activist
