Who were the Ancient Egyptians?

Middle Easterners/Caucasoid North Africans with a minor mixture of European Mediterranean. They were dark skinned but definitely not black. Herodotus says that the Colchids(Caucasians) had the same dark skin as the Egyptians. He does not call them "Ethopian" (which means black) as other historians have called the Nubians for example.

Read an interesting study concerning the study of various North east african population. The Sudanese copts came out as predominantly Eurasian but they dont cluster with the Egyptians whom have been found to have Arab components when Qatar is used as reference. This same component is found in Ethiopians too.

Why is something this obvious and proven by actual human remains as well as the modern populations inhabiting the area and written history records has become such a point of discussion among internet lapers nowadays. And even if it was like either the afrocentrists or the "nordicists" claim, it wouldn't matter, as none is gonna realistically invade egypt and replace modern egyptians in their own homeland. Its a pointless discussion and if all those hieroglyphs are right and not fabrications like those people claim then they just prove that modern egyptians are very similar to their ancient counterparts, as in "brown caucasoids". sure with some SSA admix like mostly everyone in the MENA region, but that doesn't matter. And if anything the percentage was lower in ancient times. Even if you had contact with the nubians in the south, it wasn't enough to make all of egyptians have significant SSA. a lot of the SSA percentage in modern egyptians is due to trans-saharan slave trade just like in the maghreb.
