One person was injured in two attacks on Croatia’s handball fans in Novi Sad and Ruma.
15 cars were damaged and six persons were arrested, the Serbian police have stated.
The incidents happened after the Croatia-France match on Tuesday evening.
B92 has learned that the Croat fans were on their way to the Croatian border when a large number of vehicles with Serbian license plates blocked the road. Between 30 and 50 hooligans got out from their vehicles and started smashing windows on the Croatian cars.
B92 has unofficially learned that the hooligans used baseball bats and even an axe.
Media have reported that a van was set on fire in the town of Ruma and that one of the passengers was stabbed with a knife.
The Croat fans say that the attack was well-organized since the attackers knew exactly which road the fans were using to go back to Croatia.
