Lamp posts

I was checking a Dutch infrastructure forum and there were a lot of pictures behind links of Dutch lamp posts that are or were in use and since I guess that I am not the only infrastructure geek...

Typical designs of the Dutch Reconstruction era (most of the lamps are designed by Dutch companies).. mainly in The Hague. Some more The Hague (most of it has now been replaced) - some of the designs were made by the famous Dutch architect Berlage (during the 1920s):

More stuff (old and new). A lot of it dates from the Reconstruction era and shows what Dutch design was like (the lamp posts in the second picture are probably somewhat older still):

Some - like this one have now (in a slightly modified form) completely conquered Dutch neighbourhoods:

I don't like any of those modern ones, the one peasant posted is much better. I prefer the old fashioned sort.
