Iran to burn...It's looking a little obvious

The USS-Enterprise (CVN-65) Defence Secretary Panetta (PUKE!) tells the crew they are headed to the gulf (BTW battle-group exercises are, by some indications, being hurried through at a faster than normal rate)

We apparently have A LOT of troops in Kuwait and RUMOR has it that there is a titanic buildup of troops in at least two other areas and at least one U.S. airfield is growing fast-all in the same region.

The media in the U.S. has been carefully spoon feeding reports about the potential effect of closing the Straits on energy prices, about the shrinking window of opportunity to stop Iran going nuclear, about how the Israeli's say they can "neutralize" all the Iranian nuclear sites now, but won't be able to later.

Those on the right are pushing the POV that the President is soft on Iran, that "not enough" is being done about their nuclear ambitions.

We may have actually got a deal in place with the Europeans to virtually shut down Iranian oil sales. The last time we choked a nation this bad using oil as a weapon, they sank the USS Arizona.

I wonder if the oil embargo deal is payback for us stepping in and bombing Libya?

either:

A.) We have reliable information that Iran is going to do more than just threaten to close the straits.


B.) We are trying to provoke Iran into doing something to justify another really expensive war.

C.) We know the Israeli's are going to attack, and we are ramping up to make sure things turn out well in the end.

D.) We have decided that, F&ck all, we are going to attack Iran because they might be trying to obtain WMD's (F*cking Dejavu!)

I hate the current regime in Iran, but you aren't paranoid if everybody IS out to get you.

If we aren't bombing the shit out of them by early May, I will be shocked.

Or it's all just a ruse to lull Syria into thinking we aren't going to step in there.

If Iran wants nukes, they will get them, we can slow them down, but stopping them may well be impossible.
