A student of Ryazan Technological College Christina Sargsyan has got the title "Oka Region Beauty" («Приокская красавица») in the Contest held in Ryazan, Russia. Nineteen contestants aged from 16 to 20 years fought to win.

The winner Christina Sargsyan said: "Armenian dance became my creative number. And participation in the competition was important for me because I wanted to tell about my nationality. I want everyone to appreciate my culture. And I am very happy that the jury appreciated it!"

Lex Najarian (Alexis Nicole Najarian) was crowned as Miss Nebraska USA 2019, now preparing to compete in the Miss USA pageant.

On paternal side Alexis comes from a well-known Armenian family, Najarian. In the middle of the 20th century, her great-great-grandfather Lazar Najarian donated 20 thousand dollars to the Armenian General Benevolent Union. Her grandfather is a famous American doctor, a pioneer in the field of transplantology in America, John Najarian.
