First: Be real to her (Most girls will want to get in touch with your real personality, if not, this is probably something temporary)
Second: Don't rush stuff with her (if she agrees, this will probably be a temporary relationship, but whatever floats your boat)
Third: Be loyal and caring, and not grumpy and annoying.(Some girls might tolerate your grumpiness and bad-boyish style in the beggining, but once they get over the ''honeymoon'' phase,they'll get tired of you being always like this)
Fourth: If you want a girlfriend, you should approach her like a normal person.. Like, start a fun conversation? Try to break the ice? Get to know her? Not all girls are ice queens
some will not hesitate to talk to you. Its not a crime to talk to people.
Fifth: Try to be in the girl's shoes and understand what stuff you are speaking to her about. Sometimes, some stuff are not appropriate to open up to a girl you just met.
Sixth: Don't kiss until a few dates later. Save the kiss for a good moment. One mistake and your relationship's lifespan will lessen.

I see one thing not being mentioned that's overlooked by most guys is having nice hair. Over the years I've noticed the varying level of attention I get from different kinds of girls depending on how my hair looks and how short/long it is.
