If I already had children, I would think of such methods (as long as I'm sure they don't lead to cancer in older age). But for now I prefer not to do anything with my body, since I may decide to have children someday. My partner shares the same opinion.
And it's not that worse with condoms! Better to do it such way, instead of having some unpleasant surprises, few minutes of slightly bigger pleasure can make you.

I can understand being cautious. In my experience though (and my wife's), we have never had any trouble using birth control injections and pills for her and we have beautiful kids. We trust our doctor's recommendations and have been satisfied with our decisions.

As Thorum noted, as a person who wishes to have more children in the foreseeable future, I would not warrant the need to use this male contraceptive. It looks to have too many possible downsides to it and regardless of its astounding test results, still has the minute chance of conceiving with a partner.

I can see the benefits for a mass injection of overpopulated areas such as Africa and Asia, but to utilise this injection in Europe would be asking for trouble.
Sexually transmitted diseases are already on the increase in Europe without a valid scientific reason to not sheathe your manhood before having sex.

Mind you, I wouldn't mind instigating a law for mass inoculation of newly arrived immigrants to Britain.

Well, Wat we do agree on a few things!!

Our kids are 14 months apart in age due to my high sperm count and my wife's fertility too. We just thought there was now way she could get pregnant so quickly after giving birth and we had started the pill...we were (happily) wrong.

Oh I would definitely not touch those contraceptives. Not even if they paid me handsomely. The whole purpose of life is being fertile and to procreate. If you start messing with that, you risk throwing away the sole purpose of your existence. No thanks, over my dead body.

It might happen to the girl of your dreams ...

This is just ONE example to get your attention to the known adverse effects of the pill, including loss of fertility. [Not to mention there are categories of women for whom the pill is not advisable (ie some medical conditions and smoking women), and even those who cannot be on the pill at all.]

A question for the men that state they aren't willing to even consider "playing with their fertility": AT THE SAME TIME do you expect your partner to mess up with her body?
