    Default Breton Proverbs

I've decided to start a thread on Breton proverbs. I am half Breton by birth.

    The first one:

"Aessoc'h d'ar mab goulenn ouzh tad ewid d'an tad goulenn ouzh mab"

Translation: It's easier for the son to ask from the father than for the father to ask from the son.

How did I know you started this thread, Anthy?

I like the proverbs. I wish I knew some Breton. It's interesting how they use Zs.

No, not fluent, but I understand a good bit of Breton and a whole lot of Galician.

I'm fluent in French, Spanish and Portuguese.

Here is one for our official forum crack-pot and pet clown, Savant.

"Ar ew vezw a zivezwo med ar re sod ne zi'sodont ket."

    Translation:

"The drunk ones will sober up, but the mad ones will not clever up".
