Hey so I want to draw a picture of Odin. What's your favorite depiction of him and why? What elements are present in that depiction?

Current main interest is depicting the element of wisdom... but, eh...

I remember this one site had photographs of a man portraying Woden, in the forest and hidden by a hooded cloak. I can't find it anymore.

Odin's apearance is not attractive at all.He is a old man with grey hair who posseses only one eye(he gave one so he could drink from magical well of god Mimir). He has a long beard and a cap that covers his forehead.
Important detail is his magical golden ring which is maiden by dwarfs,symbol of inexhaustible wealth.
And of course,already mentioned crows Hugin and Munin.

He rides on his grey horse with eight legs,Sleipnir which is breed of one giant and Loki transformed in mare(female horse).

Odin had different forms. The one you are describing is often called "the wanderer".

One of his forms has got red hair and beard as well.
