Are Americans culturally or mentally European?

Americans are very different from Europeans, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Most Americans dont focus much on Europe or its issues. They are a new world country like Australia, Latin America and Canada.

One huge thing that prevents Americans to be similar to us is the lack of an universal health system that is free and classless. Every European comprised me if we were to become usa citizens we would vote En mass to change your health system

What about all those Italian Americans? Or those French Americans (like the Huegenots), Polish Americans, Russian Americans, Spanish Americans, or even Jewish Americans (some count them as white) ?

Most Russian Americans are of Jewish descent meaning the actual number of ethnic Orthodox Christian Russians in America is quite low (no more than 1 million). Polish descent in America numbers in the tens of millions but most of them are not recent immigrants at this point, ditto for Italians. Spanish Americans are very insignificant in number (under 500k). IMO anyone who looks white and is raised in Anglo-Saxon American culture is fully white (second generation and beyond). For example, I definitely wouldn't consider a white-looking Syrian or Lebanese who is born and raised in America to be a POC. Many Turkish people likewise can pretty much LARP as white and nobody would question them. All in all it's completely down to perception.

American conservatives remind me of some middle/upper class Latin Americans more: highly religious/superstitious, strong capital punishment and gun culture, self reliant, dog eat dog scarcity mindset when it comes to people less fortunate than them, no sense of social responsibility to anyone outside of their family/community, tolerant of blatant income inequality as long as they have theirs and can insulate themselves from the wretched masses, etc.
