Default The intellectual legacy of female heathens: where is it?

Yes I'm actually asking this question, and in earnest, since I am getting so very tired of some directions which seem to me to be more and more condescending to a woman's intelligence and dismissive of their true contributions to Heathenry.

So out of sheer desperation, can people offer me examples of the intellectual legacy that some female heathens are leaving to this Greater Heathen community?

It would be nice to read some women authors for a change of pace. :/

Seconded. Heathenry is lacking a womens touch!

I can't think of any female heathens that are writing. The closest that springs to mind is Kathleen Herbert, but she isn't heathen AFAIK.

Wow! What a find! Thank you heathen_son!

Well despite she not perhaps being heathen, I see that her body of work is at least very heathen-friendly. Very nice to see!

    Now keep them coming! up

Well if that's the case, let's add:

    Hilda Ellis Davidson

    Kirsten Hastrup

    Karen Jolly

and I am under the impression that Ann Sheffield is a heathen.

Here is a lady I've met and purchased a book from here in California. I never got around to reading the book. Taking Up The Runes: A Complete Guide to Using Runes in Spells, Rituals, Divination, and Magic. She has also authored a book called Ancestors of Avalon. This woman is non-folkish, which is probably the reason it has gathered dust on my bookshelf all these years.

Yes Diana Paxson, Bardamu. I actually have that book that you mention, Taking Up the Runes. I must confess that I haven't read much of it not because she is non-Folkish but more so since I'm not a heavy practitioner of the esoteric arts.

Yes, Diana Paxson. I neglected to say her name. I will look inside that book one day.

I find a lot of the females doing things get a lot of unwarranted slander.
