Ummm, it's very difficult to describe how it sounds to my flat Castilian ears! The first thing I can say it's "interesting". It sounds like a mix Greek and a really old and extinct language from old civilizations. But then, again I don't know what I am talking about, Really fascinating.

Bulgarian languange is slavic, armenian languange- not. It's like comparing bulgarian with greek, just because we are neighbor countries.

I have checked it the opposite way: tried to listen to numerous languages but still couldn't relate any language to the Armenian.
    Armenian DNA Project

over 300 individuals that have already been tested, revealing that the Armenian branches of DNA are at the root of many branches in Europe.

Armenians belong to 13 distinct genetic groups that go back tens of thousands of years, while at the same time there is no trace of invaders in their DNA in the last 4000 years

Unique, I suppose persian is the closest thing you'll find but still not that close. Aramaic sounds nothing like armenian IMO.

Seems to me that semitic languages are much more softer, armenian is a man's language or at least that's the impression I got.

Sounds like a mix Persian and Greek. Even a bit like Hindi.
