I don't give a rat's ass about torture claims (which are true though), I'd see only blood before me if they were hurt by some scum. Lethal injection is sort of an easy way out, although the inmates can spend some 20 years on a death row.

    Life in prison.
Killing a criminal is leaving the possibility of justice to Pascal's wager. He will either go to hell or have the eternal peace of non-existence in a godless world. Leaving him/her to rot in prison will at least assure justice before death.

To be completely honest, I don’t see the value of keeping those who commit heinous crimes around. It would save tax payers money, and reduce the overcrowding we have in our prisons. Death by firing squad is more ideal to me than lethal injection. Ofc if someone did something to my loved one, I would want them to suffer. I am a bit vengeful but I would feel better knowing that they are dead rather than living for decades in a prison. I mean there are prisoners here who have access to cell phones. (https://www.forbes.com/sites/walterp...h=3ef0f4f71be4 ) It’s pathetic imo. If our prisons were more harsh and demanded hard labor that contributed to our country in some way, I would be more against death penalty but it’s simply not the case in America.

What happens if the convicted person subsequently turns out to be innocent though? You cannot bring him/her back. And giving the State the right to kill its citizens in this way is a very dangerous power anyway.

You can't either bring back the people a convicted murdered who was wrongly released killed. There will always be a margin of error in everything humans do, we are fallible. But it's better to execute criminals than keep them alive.

I'm for it, but it is really horrible when innocent people get sentenced to death. 190 people have been exonerated and released from death row since 1973.

They should be demanded hard labor to pay off their own living expenses instead of having citizens pay to keep them alive.
