What kind of nose does Ron Paul have? He is mostly German and his nose is similar to my German grandparent's noses so I presume it is relatively common there.

It seems like the majority of european noses are leptorrhine. My nasal index is 68 and I don't consider my nose that narrow or long. Do you know which regions are not?

Noses here aren't big compared to other parts of europe. Typical nose would be something like this:

There is no correlation between nasal shape and nationality, but a strong correlation between nasal shape and race.

The biggest, longest and most convex noses are found in the armenid race. They are long, broad, fleshy and often with a prominent os nasale, which forms the “roman” or “aquiline” nose. Mehmet zyrek, the man with the officially “longest nose in the world”, is an extreme example:

Comparable to armenid noses are dinarid noses, which are only somewhat smaller and weaker hooked. For example German politican Gnther ttinger ...

... and former German soccer referee Manfred Amarell:

Orientalid noses are typically long, high-rooted and weakly convex, often like “Greek noses” with a somewhat “dropping” tip:

Nordid and atlantid noses are usually narrow, straight and relatively long or somewhat wavy like a weak hooked dinaric nose:

A special form is the so-called “English” nose, which is long and of aristocratic shape. For example, the British-German decadent writer Charlotte Roche:

Mediterranean noses are akin to nordic noses. Often the resemble even the classical “greek” shape. Here a somewhat hooked version of the greek nose:

Cromagnid noses are short or at most medium-long, fleshy, relative broad and usually straight or, especially at women, slightly concave. For example, German Goalkeeper Oliver Kahn:

Alpine noses are rather small, broad, blunt and in profile straight or slightly concave. Good examples are this man …

… and former German political Erich Honecker (he is north-alpine, but his nose is quite alpine):

East Baltid noses are broad, have the lowest nasal bridges and are maybe the shortest, but for certain the averaged most concave:

Mine seems not to fit in any category, it's very narrow too:

Some Europeans have perfectly triangular noses where the nasal flare (fleshy bits around the nasal holes) looks totally absent. I have also wondered where this could come from. People with this nose type are often looked at in an authoritative role I've noticed.

As far as I remember your nose was rather narrow and for sure not concave.
