In 1910, two beardy Belgians started a project: to collect the entirety of human knowledge in one place, and make it available to everyone. It sounds like they wanted to create Wikipedia or Google - but unfortunately, no-one had invented web servers or home computers yet. So instead, they ended up making the world's greatest filing cabinet. I travelled to the city of Mons to see the beast for myself, and find out more about its incredible story...

In 1983 zond de Belgische BRT een aantal programma's uit onder de titel "Aktie Openbaar Vervoer". Daarin werd het landelijke Openbaar Vervoer kritisch bekeken en waren er een aantal fraaie documentaires te zien.

This is a walk at the Knokke and adjacent Duinbergen Beach Promenade, the coastal city positioned most north of Belgium. Knokke is known as being the more prestigious of Belgian coastal cities, with small art galleries on the promenade itself and a multitude of beachbars.

Getting around Brussels with M1-M4 cars on Line 2 and 6 of the Belgian Capital's underground metro system with some of the most beautiful stations in the network, many featuring remarkable architecture and art. Using the Metro is easy and fast. On the inner circle, where line 2 and 6 run together, trains run usually every 2 to 3 minutes in day time. A paper day ticket for the whole MIVB/STIB network currently (July 2023) costs 8 Euros and let you explore not only line 2 and 6, but also every Tram and Bus line, as well as the other metro lines 1 and 5. A great opportunity for tourists.
