This picture is not from Macedonia, but those people created one little Macedonia several hundred kms away from their homeland.

The members of the Macedonian cultural youth organisation "Pelister" in Burgas. According to statistics, until the huge economical growth of the town in the 60'-70', the population of Burgas was around 80% of Macedonian refugee stock. After that many people from the nearby inland towns settled there.

Below that picture in facebook, I saw many comments from the descendants of these people. According to them, they come from Eagean Macedonia, mainy Kostur.

Such organisations existed in every town in Bulgaria. After 1945 they were all banned from the communist regime as a product of the "greatbulgarian chauvinism".

Pelister is a mountain range/ national park near Bitola. I wonder why Kosturchani would have named their Organisation after that.

Burgas is a hotspot for people coming from different places. Definitely not all of them were from Kostur.
