40,000 Bulgarians visited Macedonia in March 2012 or is that the total since January? If not then that's a huge uptick because last year March 2011 according to your gov't's data 18,000 Bulgarians visited Macedonia. A 22,000 increase for a non-tourist month.

It's for March alone and it's the total of Bulgarian citizens who entered Macedonia. 22 770 as tourists, 9 938 on business, 7 805 are listed others.

No, we're not same just like Croats and Serbs are not same. I say Bulgarians are our brothers because of our good relations. No wars between Bulgarians and Macedonians except a brief liberation war in WW2 but that's nothing compared to the bloodbath that occurred between Croatia and Serbia.

If it has a bad image then it is from Albanians than anything. Tourists do have to watch out for Albanian traffickers who might kidnap them and prostitute them out in Italy...

Tourism in Macedonia is a tricky situation. How much of the number is from Emigrants and their families returning home from vacation? Those are the people that the gov't of Fyrom should look to bring as they are the ones that are going to invest in the country more. I know that ALOT of albanians come back to Macedonia in the summer and some in the winter
