Do you know any old sayings, and there origins, meanings...
For instance "three square meals" comes from the RN, having square plates of wood, with an edge called the fiddle, if your meat touched the fiddle you were "on the fiddle".......ect .....
Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems such as those connected with reality... Existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind and language... It strikes me as peculiar that most concern themselves solely with language, the least of all philosophies...

can someone explain the origins? i associate it with karma ..but it is not a western concept
