Note that I said HE would never let ME pay. In my experience, men want to pay. I definitely value provider qualities in a partner too though. Sorry not sorry.

And yes, as a grad student, I do have a smaller salary right now. I depend on my parents for a lot, but I’m grateful, not ashamed. Even when I do have my career though, I want to know that my husband can take care the family. I want the option to work fewer hours or take time off when we decide to have children. So I mean ideally he would be the breadwinner.

I don't want equality, I want the man to be man and woman to be woman. We are not the same, and we shouldn't act the same.

But let's remember that all great civilizations were at their peak when they exerted control over women. The Babylonian Empire collapsed shortly after they introduced gender equality (read about it).

It's not a coincidence, that a feminist show in Polish TV is called "Babylon".

I used to think that it was just because of the similarity betwen the words "baby" (colloquial for women) and Babylon. But later I learned about the feminist movement in Ancient Babylon (yes, there was such a thing there - for example, they allowed divorce on demand, and similar equal rights for women).

And shortly after the introduction of gender equality, Babylon was conquered by Assyria.
