Remember your first time when meeting your first impression it will very much remain until you get to know further more,. BUT I know for the fact not offering the option you will pay for her plate she will think you are weak or tacky not men enough .

I don't care what women say deep on their hearts won't like that... Now in a second date is a different story.

The man should pay. I've always paid because my ego and masculinity wouldn't allow otherwise.

Now sure If you came across this "sorta" news months ago but It came to my Facebook feed where this woman went on a date and later the evening she asked the guy if she could also buy food to bring home to their young two kids and the guy said no and the woman chimp out lol.

Both were African Americans (not sure if that matters)

Men should always pay first date. And when dating, I think the man should pay more often. Of course in a relationship it eventually becomes moot because you combine your money, move in together, get married and so on and so forth.

I will say it shows good character if a woman offers to pay on a first day, but I think a man should always insist on paying.

I was a bit puzzled but as I got to the last bit, it started to make sense. Under no circumstances would I feel obligated to take care of her kids' needs or anyone else related to her. If she even has the audacity to bring this up, during a first date no less, then that's a red flag for me. As a matter of fact, her having children that aren't mine is a red flag as well. She's looking for a sucker, not a relationship.

Sorry I'm on my phone, while I understand your view I personality think that's very cruel man, yes that's a red flag, BUT I personality would buy her some food from the menu so she could take It home and call It the last day.

If you are Inviting someone that's because you already have some money on your pocket to spend otherwise don't even bother to go out.
