Personally for me, to reach the real form of your beliefs and religion you need only yourself and a lot of life experience. Otherwise you will get too much influenced by other people and believe me you won't agree with all of them. The paganism (in any form) is a very personal and unique "thing".

This. Don't try to separate yourself physically from the modern world, but mentally and spiritually. Live the life you want, and things around you won't bother you as much.
