I have to visit Scotland some time in the near future, it's the most fascinating part of the UK for me.

I think Scotland is the most beautiful country in the Isles. The terrain in some of the photos looks just like Norway

Imagine going out for a walk one day and discovering this lot buried down a rabbit hole! That’s exactly what happened to Orcadian schoolboy David Linklater in March 1858, when he stumbled upon one of the finest hoards of Viking silver ever found in Britain.

The fabulous Skaill hoard has been loaned to Shetland Museum and Archives for a new exhibition, open until 31 January 2014.
