    Default R1a1a L448 in Devon

How do you think R1a1a (more specificly SNP L448) would have arrived in Devon? Where there any known Norse settlemets there or would someone carrying L448 migrated there from somewhere else in England?

I'm R1a1a and mostly English descent. Seems to be much more common in Eastern Europe though. 23andme has me clustering in northern Germany.

yes, Eastern Europe has a high amount but it is a different SNP than most R1a1a in the British Isles and Scandinavia. L448 is said to be Norwegian, L664 is said to be Germanic and L176 is Scottish. L176 is a subclade of L448 while L664 is completely different than L448. There are some Eastern Europe SNP's as well.

Interesting, I wasn't aware of that. 23andme doesn't show my SNP, or am I overlooking it?
