Ancient Greek Inventions are in fact the original concepts of some of our most well known products, to this day. Those original concepts have just taken on a more modern form.

The early days of the Greek civilization gave birth to many admirable scientists, and they in turn have managed to pave the way for further discoveries by the following generations.

If your curiosity has been peeked and you are wondering exactly what the ancient Greeks contributed to our modern century, other than the well known concepts of democracy and trial by jury, the following is a just a small sample of what they had to offer.

    3. Central heating:

Every time your furnace comes on, you can thank the Ancient Greeks. It was them who invented central heating, which was then improved upon by the Romans using a hypocaust system. After the fall of the Roman Empire, central heating mostly disappeared but it would be rediscovered 1,500 years later during the Industrial Revolution.

The Germanic peoples created the modern world with the British people at the helm.

Since we have come to the place, it does not appear to be foreign to our subject to lay before the reader an account of the manners of Gaul and Germany, and wherein these nations differ from each other. In Gaul there are factions not only in all the states, and in all the cantons and their divisions, but almost in each family, and of these factions those are the leaders who are considered according to their judgment to possess the greatest influence, upon whose will and determination the management of all affairs and measures depends. And that seems to have been instituted in ancient times with this view, that no one of the common people should be in want of support against one more powerful; for, none [of those leaders] suffers his party to be oppressed and defrauded, and if he do otherwise, he has no influence among his party. This same policy exists throughout the whole of Gaul; for all the states are divided into two factions.

The Germanics, the British, the Chinese created this and that.

How ridiculous! It was not common people who created the advances of civilization. They were genious. People that weren't like anyone on this forum! People with lot of brains ... not just the average Brit beer drinker, or the German polka dancer. No. The average German is not Gauss. The average Russian is not Tsiolkowsky, either. Gimme a break. Genious belong to a different race from me and from everyone of you.

Major Indian inventions are Yoga, simplification of numbers (0 to 9 were invented by Indians), Chess and so many important stuff in mathematics (Fibonacci, trigonometric functions, etc), agriculture, medicine are in the following link

That ranking is all wrong. France & Italy should not be below Germany. They both gave the world far more than Germany did both culturally and technologically. The only way Italy is below Germany is if you're excluding apart of Italian history and only including recent history of Germany.

And if we're arguing recent history, then Britain should share #1 with France.

Greeks the ones to lay the very foundations of western culture are 3rd? and also below Germans?

What kind of list is this!
Send me dms asking me to classify you, i'll have Barbarianna of Barbaria here put a few holes in you. Then I'll take this guitar and smash it over your head.
