Talking The cars your parents used to drive

I thought I'd start this thread so that we could reminisce about the cars our parents used to drive when we were young.

My parents first started off with a Ford Zephyr in the 1960's - it was ugly then!

Into the 70's. They had a Humber Sceptre, it was quite luxurious for the time - leather seats, walnut trim everywhere, but it was so unreliable.

Then came the Renault 14 - rust bucket! (but very comfortable)

Ford Escort MKIII - another rusty.

I remember my mom telling me we were getting a new car, I was so excited! She pulled up to pick me up from the babysitter's in this...

Only it was Big Bird Yellow... I was horrified! But now, it would be cool to have. That's an Impala btw.

Of course Tref, we had a ford escort too, only it was white...

We also had one of these....

I am not sure and I might be slightly off but if I remember correctly then my mothers second husband drove a

    Mazda 121 (1989)

And my father a green Renault 4 or 5- I am not sure anymore (PTT-green and marked because he was working for the PTT (back then it was state owned))

And I remember that he drove a 1985 Lada for some time that he had borrowed from my aunt when they were abroad.

My Dad drove a late 80's Dodge Ram pick-up which he always seemed to get in accidents with. His was not this color.

And my Mom drove a early 90's Ford Escort that was red.

Funny, because before I was ever born my Mom drove around in cars like this gold Yenko Camaro.

I suppose having kids really changes you.
