Nearly 50 bodies recovered from latest Mexico massacre

MEXICO CITY — Police recovered the mutilated corpses of at least 49 people from a roadside outside the northern industrial city of Monterrey this morning, the latest massacre in an ever-more-brutal terror campaign waged by warring Mexican crime syndicates.

The bodies, including those of three women, were dumped shortly after midnight near Cadereyta, a town on the highway connecting Monterrey to the South Texas border at McAllen. Home to a large petroleum refinery, Cadereyta and other nearby towns have experienced escalating bloodshed in recent months as gunmen from the Gulf Cartel and the Zetas band battle for dominance.

The victims' naked torsos were stuffed into garbage bags with their heads and hands removed, said Jorge Domene, public security spokesman for Nuevo Leon state. They were killed elsewhere as many as two days ago, he said at a news conference. A note left at the scene claimed credit for the slaughter by the Zetas and a Z was scrawled on an arch nearby.

"This is not an attack against the civilian population," Domene said, and he noted that some of the bodies were tatooed with images of Holy Death, an entity worshipped by many in Mexico's criminal underworld. "That's important to point out."

It is incredible how these people can be such savages. They have no compassion for their civilians."This is not an attack against the civilian population,". Yeah right. These cartels want power and they do that by pushing fear to the Mexican population. This is why I believe their is differences in races. I don't hear this types of things happening in more prominent white civilized society.

I agree. Additionally, once we've secured our border, perhaps an armed intervention would be called for. To allow violence of this scale to continue in a bordering nation would be foolish.

What I find most amusing about it is the way American pot smokers go out of their way to distance themselves from these people. Whenever I discuss the cartels with them, they ALL insist their weed is local, grown by working Americans with families.

The level of self-deception and degenerate morality is amazing.
