I know perfectly, she was born in Sassari (sardinia), and her mother is sardinian, probably also her father, as happen in the case of many persons like the famous model Francesca Lodo, whose surname is typical of northern italy, though she was born in Cagliari, even the president of Sardinia hasn't a typical sardinian surname, his surname is more common in Central italy, the famous politician Enrico Berlinguer had a noble catalan surname , also the car designer Flavio Manzoni, has a northern italian surname though he was born in Nuoro, central Sardinia...etc
it's not uncommon to find people with not typical sardinian surnames here.
