Whoa re closer relatives to Macedonians, Serbs or Bulgarians?

This is not about denying Macedonian existence, it's simply about who is culturally closer to Macedonians.

It's a mixed bag. If we're talking about recent history then yes the 50 years of Yugoslavia have brought Serbs and Macedonians closer but... before Yugoslavia and Serbian annexation of Vardar Macedonia we were probably more closer to Bulgarians since there existed a whole lot of Bulgarophiles back then. Serbs were despised as evil occupiers who initiated multiple programs to repress any kind of national consciousness and Bulgarophiles were sent to Serbian gulags.

Even though there isint another choice stating "Serbians and Bulgarians equally", i still choose it. Macedonians are technically Bulgarians but their language has a very very large Slavic influence.

And Macedonians are NOT Bulgarians. If you declare yourself as Bulgarian in Macedonia you'll get beat up.

Bulgarian have Turkic roots but today they are Slavic. Just like Albanians originally spoke language related to Georgian that doesn't make you Caucasian today.

Of course Bulgarians are not sons of Alexander Makedonski, only Macedonians are.
