Could easily be that I suffer from a light form of this, although I have never been diagnosed.
I also have the inclination to get very obsessed with things which intrest me.
I used to play chess excessivly as a child and later video games between 12-18.
Now I am very focused on issues which intrest me, like history and anthroplogy and
I spend a lot of time with these things.

I am very sensible to noise and it is hard for me to interact with people I don`t know.
But as mentioned I don`t think it affects my life in a negative way.
So it has to be a light form of the disease.

^ Not just that but a few other symptoms as well.

Perhaps a group should be started on the strength of this poll.

It could cover issues such as how to manage one's condition, relations with others, what one's special interests are.

The poll seems rather interesting as the prevalence as Asperger's syndrome should be theoretically much less.

Prevalence estimates vary enormously. A 2003 review of epidemiological studies of children found autism prevalence rates ranging from 0.03 to 4.84 per 1,000, with the ratio of autism to Asperger syndrome ranging from 1.5:1 to 16:1;[97] combining the geometric mean ratio of 5:1 with a conservative prevalence estimate for autism of 1.3 per 1,000 suggests indirectly that the prevalence of AS might be around 0.26 per 1,000.[98] Part of the variance in estimates arises from differences in diagnostic criteria. For example, a relatively small 2007 study of 5,484 eight-year-old children in Finland found 2.9 children per 1,000 met the ICD-10 criteria for an AS diagnosis, 2.7 per 1,000 for Gillberg and Gillberg criteria, 2.5 for DSM-IV, 1.6 for Szatmari et al., and 4.3 per 1,000 for the union of the four criteria. Boys seem to be more likely to have AS than girls; estimates of the sex ratio range from 1.6:1 to 4:1, using the Gillberg and Gillberg criteria.[99]

Everything is a syndrome these days, so that Big Pharma can make money.

Yes, Aspergers exists, but I think like ADHD, it's overdiagnosed.

My social problems stem from not trusting people. It's one of the reasons I am looking into moving the the Netherlands, because I think I would thrive better with the Dutch directness culture. I thrived better and was happier and healthier in the United States too, Americans are more direct than Canadians.

I experience myself something called meltdown or over imposure to stimulants but on the contrary i love noisy music, rhytmic drum sessions ,chants (calming my mind) ,bright colors ,guess ADHD and Aspergers are fighting in me .
Especially places like shopping malls where colors and voices are abundant under an artificial light makes me dizzy ,overloaded .I can't stay there long time, I feel overwhelmed, sometimes I panic to go out to take a breath..
City life is not for me ,i m suffocating .I dream living a rural area close to nature, with plants, animals ,walking on grass barefoot ,swim in sea
May be I m allergic to modern life

I prefer city life. I like the anonymity that cities afford you. Small town and rural areas are very stressful because they are havens for judgemental people and gossip. I find this very stressful.

But in a city you can walk down the street and nobody notices you because the fast-paced live has the too busy and overstimulated.

Same here, but instead of OCD I've some anxiety problems.
Not special enough to fit any definite psychological case.
